The B-Team Cobra Baseball Team went 3-0 over the weekend in the Tripp Rabon Memorial Tournament hosted by Summerville HS and Hanahan HS.
The Cobras opened up on Friday night by getting an 11-1 win over Dubose MS. Hunter Mellot was the winning pitcher throwing 3 2/3 giving up one run on one hit and struck out six batters.
Game two on Friday night the Cobras defeated Alston MS 11-1. Cameron Avery and Chris Martinez combined to pitch a no hitter. Avery also led the Cobras at the plate going 3-4 with 3 RBI’s, he also stole 3 bases on the night.
The final game of the tournament on Saturday was a 4-1 win over Pinewood Prep. Jace Stancil was the winning pitcher, pitching 3 innings giving up one run on two hits.
The B-Team Cobras will open the regular season on Saturday as they travel to Hanahan to play a doubleheader with Hanahan starting at 11am.
